Hi
One of the areas I often have people discuss with me is the issues around Multi-Agency working and training, some services are very proactive, where as some do not do much at all. Having sat on numerous webinars and other discussion panels, we all discuss this area and it would be fair to say that we all want to promote better joint working. But when it actually comes to fruition we seem to grind to a halt.
Common issues with funding and the ongoing budget cuts, rescue depts being very busy and do not get any time allocated to this training, no one takes the lead and the big one is lack of buy in from senior management.
Whats the answer?
Local partnerships and good will gestures are common amongst stations and clinicians who are trying to do their best to improve this area, but not always with the desired outcomes.
This is a fundamental area of rescue that needs to be driven and encouraged.
What do you think?
Jon
