Hi Communication on scene can be problematic, do we always have effective dialogue with on scene rescue teams, does the right information get passed on, do we understand each others roles. From experience I know that some clinicians (Paramedics, ECS's) UK do not get that much exposure to vehicle related trauma and rescue incidents, some stating only 2% of their jobs are road related, and the fact they get little to no training in this area. With these issues in mind how can we expect to have an effective discussion between rescue leads? Can JESIP link be effective if we don't really understand what each other can do and how each are affected by the difference in priorities by each service. This goes back to a previous post on interagency training and development, we don't do it or certainly not enough of it.
