Hello
Laminated glass has been a topic for discussion for many years.
Whats the risk from glass dust? Is there any depending on what you read?
What control measure do you use when cutting the glass?
- respiratory protection - respiratory protection for casualty - water, shaving foam, tape to minimise glass dust - what casualty protection, hard and soft protection, casualty sheet, pos pressure O2 or dust mask - methods for cutting the glass, GlassMaster, Reciprocating saw, Keech tool, axe, GP saw to name just a few. - safety glasses and full face visor or less
Let us know what your procedures are for this subject.
We use full casualty protection, hard and soft protection, pos O2 or dust mask depending on the medics interventions, recip or glassMaster. We are in two minds about the use of water and also the risk of contamination from dirty water and also the risk of glass fragments in the water.
Another question: What are your views on Glass contaminants entering the water used and then getting in wounds causing septicaemia???
Cheers
John
